MPT #5: JJ McCarthy #9 Bonus Night

You’re invited to MPT #5: JJ McCarthy #9 Bonus Night, to be held at Jason’s house on Friday, October 9, 2026 at 6:30pm.

Note: arriving late is totally fine and you most likely will be seated immediately!

In honor of our special out of town guest from Michigan, rabid Wolverines fan, (my brother in-law Jon C), we’ll celebrate #9 himself, quarterback of the Wolverines 2023 National Championship team (but let’s face it, he didn’t really need to do much on that team, did he?), and first round draft pick of the Vikings, (ie, recently traded bust of the Vikings), JJ McCarthy.

Special rules for JJ McCarthy #9 Bonus Night:

  • If you have pocket 9s and play the hand all the way to a showdown (never folding), you get a 100 chip bonus for the next game
  • There must be a showdown on the river – a fold does not count
  • You don’t have to be all-in
  • Only one JJ McCarthy bonus per player per game
  • All other house rules still apply (1st Bust Bonus, Bad Beat Bonus, etc) – See rules for more details

Each game is $10. Remember there is a once-per-evening $2 host fee.

BYOB and snacks are encouraged.
