MPT #3 took place on July 17, 2026 and consisted of 3 tournaments with 8 players:

MPT #3 was held on July 17, 2026 at Jason’s house. It introduced antes into our game for the first time, with the hope of moving the games along more quickly in order to get more games in, potentially. The TD is not sure it did either of those, as we were still only able to get three games in.

We had 3 new players this event, including our youngest ever player, who joined us for one game, proceeded to kick all of our butts and take first place, then decided he was done and left for the next game. Rude!

Also new this event was Dylan B, brother of Josh F. Dylan was a joy to have around, at least for most of us. For the rest of us, Dylan liked to limp along in a hand (never raising, only calling), only to reveal the best hand, and won some big pots, particularly off Steve N and Jason I (the TD). Regardless, Dylan was fun to have at the game and we hope to see him again soon! (PS: Dylan, I don’t have your number)

Finally, our last “new” player (though a veteran of the Rochester-based MPT), John V had a solid night, winning his first MPT. So, if you’re keeping track, 2 of the 3 first timers won an MPT, which should help us recruit more players - feel free to get the word out!
